Soum Paul

Biography

Soum Paul is the Founder & CTO of Superteams.ai, a company that places research-grade AI engineers directly inside client organizations to build LLM pipelines, RAG systems, and multi-agent automation. He is also the Founder of NextNeural.ai. A serial entrepreneur and technologist, Soum has led engineering teams across India, London, and Silicon Valley — at companies including Knowlarity, State.com, Mixercast, and EFI. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur, with research internships at the University of Zurich and EPFL Lausanne. He is a 2x author published by HarperCollins India and a TEDx speaker.

Entrepreneurial Journey

Soum describes entrepreneurship as "a lifestyle choice." After early-career engineering roles in Silicon Valley (EFI) and London (State.com), he returned to India to take on leadership positions at Knowlarity and subsequently founded multiple ventures spanning AI, media technology, and financial inclusion.

Through Superteams.ai, Soum leads the technical vision for a firm that places research-grade AI engineers directly inside client organizations — in their Slack, their sprints, their standups — to build LLM fine-tuning pipelines, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and multi-agent automation. Under his technical leadership, Superteams.ai has built AI assistants handling massive-scale data for publicly listed companies, and formed partnerships with AI infrastructure players including Qdrant, E2E Networks, FalkorDB, TigerData/Timescale, and Astria.
